Our Story

About Peterpan Corp.

A Kansas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing community well-being through affordable housing, historic preservation, and community programming.

Empowering Communities, One Property at a Time

Peterpan Corp is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing community well-being through educational programs, cultural initiatives, and public service projects. Our mission is to provide accessible resources and opportunities that empower individuals and foster community development.

Founded in Kansas, we operate across 7 counties and 11 cities — acquiring, rehabilitating, and managing properties that serve as affordable housing, community centers, childcare facilities, and event venues. We believe that every Kansas community deserves dignified housing, accessible gathering spaces, and economic opportunity.

Our approach is rooted in adaptive reuse — breathing new life into historic and undervalued properties rather than building from scratch. This preserves community character, reduces environmental impact, and creates extraordinary value for the communities we serve.

What Guides Our Work

Housing as a Right

Everyone deserves safe, affordable housing. We maintain our properties at accessible price points, accepting Section 8 vouchers and partnering with housing authorities to maximize reach.

Historic Preservation

Kansas's historic buildings tell the story of our communities. We preserve limestone sanctuaries, Victorian homes, and Main Street storefronts — honoring the past while serving the present.

Sustainable Growth

We leverage grants, historic tax credits, and strategic partnerships to fund our work — building a self-sustaining model where revenue from some properties funds rehabilitation of others.

Community Partnership

We don't develop in isolation. Every project involves local stakeholders — from economic development offices to neighborhood residents — ensuring our work serves real community needs.

Military Family Support

With properties near Fort Riley, we serve the unique housing needs of military families — offering quality off-base housing, childcare facility development, and veteran support spaces.

Education & Opportunity

Our community spaces host workshops, seminars, and outreach programs promoting lifelong learning, workforce development, and civic engagement across rural Kansas.
